Making Dental Care Easy for Your Kids

Why Visit the Dentist Early?

Visiting the dentist is just as important for children as it is for adults. We understand that a child’s first visit to the dentist can be overwhelming and sometimes very scary. But we will do everything that we can to make your child’s first and routine visits a fun, educational and gentle experience every single time. We recommend bringing in your child for their first dental appointment around their first birthday or when teeth begin erupting within their mouth.

As long as a patient is regularly seeing their pediatrician and brushing their child’s teeth we recommend a child start coming to the dentist between ages 2-3. Of course they are always welcome to come earlier, especially if they have any questions or concerns. Pediatric dentistry also includes dental care for teenagers too as their mouths are still developing. With routine hygiene and dental appointments along with at-home care, your children can be off to an excellent head start in keeping a beautiful smile!

What We Offer Kids

Bringing your children in at an early age can help build trust with our office, staff and both Drs. Dustin and Kenneth Rabine. During these pediatric dentistry appointments, we will educate your kids on proper oral hygiene habits, inform them on the importance of their teeth, tongue and gums, and teach them ways to keep their mouth’s healthy and beautiful. During pediatric dentistry appointments, we offer a variety of services.

Services Include

  • Oral health evaluation
  • Dental health education
  • Cleanings and sealants
  • Cavity detection
  • Invisalign®

Building Trust and Happy Smiles

One of the most important aspects of dental care does not happen in our Shelton, CT office chairs, it happens at home. Proper oral healthcare at home is the best defense against dental problems for your child. Our dentists love to educate children on the benefits of proper oral health and offer simple instruction on how to keep their teeth, gums and mouths clean. With such positive engagement with the dentist so early on, your kids will become comfortable visiting our office and following dental appointments will be easier for both you and your child.
